SP:KA – Music Finding Its Place on the International Scene

Six out of twelve tracks from the album “Behind the Shadows” featured in Traxsource Essentials selections! SP:KA is the music collective comprised of many members of our NGO.

During 2026, the music collective SP:KA made a significant step toward the international music scene. As many as six out of twelve tracks and remixes from the album “Behind the Shadows” were included in the weekly editorial selections of Traxsource Essentials, which are dedicated to showcasing selected electronic music releases.

What is Traxsource and why are these results important?

Traxsource is an American digital music platform founded in 2004, specializing in electronic music, especially house and techno. Alongside Beatport, which was founded in the same year, it is one of the most famous specialized platforms connecting producers, record labels, and DJs worldwide.

According to previously published official Traxsource data, during certain periods, the platform received more than 5,000 new releases, amounting to over 20,000 individual tracks per week. This is historical data that illustrates the scale of international competition, rather than current weekly statistics.

In such international competition, it is particularly valuable when music is recognized by the platform’s editors and included in their weekly selections.

Music with a Humanitarian Story

SP:KA is a music collective connected with the Humanitarian Association “Savršen Krug” (Perfect Circle), which has been active for years in the field of humanitarian work and youth education.

The project combines the experience of music producers, the creativity of new generations, and international cooperation. The long-term intention is to create new opportunities for youth development and support the association’s humanitarian activities through music production, performances, and promotion.

Six international editorial features within a few months demonstrate that the music created through this project is finding its place well beyond the borders of Croatia.
